Christchurch is a lovely little town. Everyone know everyone else, and there’s always time to have a beer and a laugh. Over the last year I’ve had the good fortune of work with Edwin Dando from Clarus, and just after Easter we held both a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) course. Both course were fun, and by all accounts enjoyed by all.
And what continues to intrigue and fascinate me are the different backgrounds and personalities of the participants. For example, Dave Wallace mentioned over lunch that he had just released his first single. Every the youtube fanatic I pulled it up and I’m happy to say that it’s a great piece of work! It’s slick and polished and wouldn’t be out of place on MTV. Here it is …
Another of the course participants was my friend Peter. Peter runs his own company, Orsome, and writes iPhone software. He’s the author a number of popular apps including WeatherNZ (itunes, TradeMe (iTunes), and BubbleWrap (iTunes).
BubbleWrap is an interesting little application. It’s an unassuming application but is one of the top 20 downloaded apps ever, with over 5.5 million users worldwide. It has also won the 2008 iPhone Excellence Award and Apple’s iTunes 2008 Favorite pick. A great way to bring fun to 5.5 million people, one minute at a time!
