Melbourne is probably the most European of Australia’s major cities. The downtown, or Central Business District (CBD), is compact and littered with small independent restaurants, coffee shops and fashion boutiques. I really enjoy sitting in the coffee shops and watching the different characters come and go; the students, the techies, the bohemians and the office workers looking for a ten minute reprieve.
Melbourne is also home to a growing Scrum community, and last week I was in Melbourne helping to grow that community by leading another Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) course. It was a fun course, with a great deal of engagement from the participants and some great feedback. You can read some of the comments on my LinkedIn profile.
When doing the course I often encourage teams to experiment with their own ideas and experiences and this often leads to some very interesting results. During the Melbourne course, it lead to the creation of a Martians versus Zombies board game … partly inspired by Plants versus Zombies. Check out the photos below!
